Rolling Stone magazine got all excited over Counterpoint’s lineup:
Outkast, Pretty Lights, Foster the People, J. Cole, Major Lazer and Big Gigantic are confirmed for the second Counterpoint Festival, a three-day music and arts festival in Rome, Georgia, taking place April 25th – 27th. It marks the first confirmed hometown gig for Outkast on their 40-festival comeback tour. This year’s festival will take place at the 5000-acre Kingston Downs site, a new location just an hour outside of Atlanta that boasts four performance spaces. Over 75 acts will play over the course of the three days.
Other acts on the bill include festival favorites such as Matt & Kim, Thievery Corporation, A-Trak and Sleigh Bells. Hip-hop acts booked include Chance the Rapper, El-P and Killer Mike’s Run the Jewels, and Schoolboy Q. Other notable acts include Flosstradamus, YACHT, Boys Noize, STS9, and Krewella.
Counterpoint’s first festival launched in September 2012, with Big Boi, M83, and Skrillex topping the bill. A variety of different ticket options are now available via Counterpoint’s website.
